Egypt
This gallery will eventually contain a number of images taken from monuments and landmarks along the Nile between Qena and Aswan (including Abu Simbel). Also, there will be some images from the Giza plateau.
Egypt is a fascinating place both with regard to pharonic history and history from the past century and a half. It is a place of contradiction, from some of the most amazing engineering feats during the past 50 or so years to the fact that houses and various ways of life haven't changed in the last 4,000 years.
It doesn't matter how much one reads about Egypt, or how many documentaries are watched; Egypt has to be experienced to even begin to appreciate the great character this country possesses.
I would highly recommend a holiday in Egypt.
